PSEG Long Island accepts MWBE diversity certifications from the New York Empire State Development (ESD) Corporation and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) certifications from the New York State Office of General Services (OGS). Diverse suppliers provide PSEG Long Island with a host of materials and services annually.

At PSEG Long Island, our policy is to encourage the development of MWBEs and SDVOBs consistent with our established corporate goals.

We are committed to maintaining strong, active relationships with a diverse supply base to support the communities we serve. PSEG Long Island considers as much information and data as possible about each supplier to make informed buying decisions.

In accordance with New York State law, PSEG Long Island has implemented the following procedures:

  • Established goals of thirty (30) percent participation for New York State certified MWBEs and six (6) percent participation for New York State certified SDVOBs
  • Employ and document good faith efforts in the procurement process
  • Require prime vendors to submit utilization plans and EEO policies for achieving MWBE and SDVOB goals
  • Require prime vendors to submit periodic compliance reports
